Carabao Cup: Chelsea defeat Liverpool, Arsenal qualify for fourth round

Chelsea are through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup, following their 2-1 win over Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night.

The hosts took the lead in the second half through, after Daniel Sturridge volleyed past Willy Caballero.

Maurizio Sarri’s men fought back with goals from Emerson Palmeri and Eden Hazard, to win it for the Blues.


Arsenal beat Brentford 3-1 at the Emirates, while West Ham hammered Macclesfield Town 8-0.

Tottenham Hotspur saw off Watford 4-2 on penalties, after the game ended 2-2 in regulation time and Stoke City lost 3-2 to Nottingham Forest.
