EFCC raids Fayose’s residence over ‘Atiku money’, PDP reacts




The Afao Ekiti residence of the immediate past Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose, has been raided by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Thia was confirmed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a statement Friday evening.

The party said nothing can break the will of Nigerians to vote out the All Progessives Congress (APC) government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The wife of the President, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, has stirred reactions online over her statement asking Nigerians to choose between poverty and wealth in the Saturday’s presidential election.

Voice africa reported that Aisha on Thursday asked Nigerians to “decide whether the poor should become poorer and the rich richer or a society where the gap begins to be reduced.”

The First Lady stated this on Thursday while presenting empowerment packs to 1,250 women and youths from the six area councils of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja.

This is the moment a police officer was apprehended while aiding some alleged thugs to paint a fake Police patrol vehicle for use by politicians in Saturday’s elections in Akwa Ibom state. The police inspector was reportedly arrested in Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, the state capital.

It was learnt that two of the vehicles, which was one of the types procured by the state government for the Command of the Nigeria Police Force, were brand new cars ostensibly bought for the purpose of aiding electoral fraud.

A notorious gang of armed robbers whose area of specialty was to dispossess unsuspecting riders of their source of livelihood, has been smashed.

The four-man gang, including their receiver, was smoked out of hidings after an operation in the early hours of Wednesday, February 20, 2019, during which their victim sustained severe head injury, following a wicked act of being hit with a pestle by a member of the gang.

The victim, Suuru Nofiyonbin, lodged a complaint at Agbara Police Divisional Headquarters to the effect that at about 5:30am on the said day, he was flagged down by a man at OPIC Estate in Agbara, calling Igere, a community in the area.
