Real Madrid academy graduate, Mariano Diaz, who left the Spanish outfit to join Olympique Lyon has been handed the famous no 7 jersey, previously worn by Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mariano, who was a huge success at Lyon was courted by various top clubs across Europe before Real Madrid hijacked the move.
Real Madrid fans are however unhappy that the club decided to give the jersey that was previously worn by their record goal scorer, Ronalo,to Mariano
While some are of the opinion that the move is an insult to the Portuguese, other feel Mariano is not on the same level as Ronaldo.
